of Scouting Ireland. Scouting Ireland is a multi-denominational, co-educational,
youth based association across the entire island of Ireland. Blackrock Scouts have our own scout
den and grounds just by the sea. We offer weekend activities and weekly meetings to
young people between the ages of 6 and 21. We have a long history in the community
of Blackrock. Between our different age groups we teach scouting skills such as
pioneering, hiking, rock climbing, backwoods survival training, canoeing,
first aid and other really useful skills.

Blackrock Bowling and Tennis Club
Blackrock Bowling & Tennis Club was founded in 1906 and is located on Green Road, close to Blackrock village. We are very much a family orientated club and are always looking to welcome new members to both Bowling and Tennis sections.
Social and league tennis takes right through the year. There is always activity on the courts, with floodlights allowing tennis to be played up to 10pm each evening.
Bowls is a great sport and pastime for all ages. The Bowling season runs from early April, until the end of September. We are always happy to show you around the club’s facilities and even get you out on the green have a go at bowls.
If you would like to find out more about our club, why not come along to our open day on Sunday, April 10th. We will be kicking off at 2pm.
